Addie's Studio has been involved in raising money and awareness for Autism research for the last three years. Her Remodel Your Body (RYB) for Autism Challenge began in 2007 and has since raised over $60,000 in money that has gone to support associations and foundations that appropriate money towards research for autism.
RYB is an annual fundraising event that challenges participants to lose the most amount of body fat in 8 weeks in comparison to others who have entered the competition. The entry fee is $100 and a body composition test is performed at the beginning of the challenge and at the end. All proceeds raised are donated to an association or foundation that supports autism. In the past Addie's has worked with the Autism Society of America (ASA) and most recently she has teamed up with Dayna Hoff and the Autism Tree Project Foundation (ATPF).
RYB Challenge 2010 introduced a new program directly targeted toward children called "Move Your Body. This program is offered in a child friendly way directed by trainers at the same time their parents are participating in the adult fitness boot camp. The kids that are participating are affected by autism, while some are typical siblings and/or peers and their excitement and enthusiasm is easily recognizable by their smiles and involvement in the activities.
